Printable wash your hands Coronavirus Sign
After a few months of being discovered, the COVID-19, aka coronavirus disease 2019, has spread widely across the globe. As of March 8, 2020, there were more than 217,000 cases around the world, and almost 9000 people have died because of it.
This virus has a mortality rate of 4%, causing most deaths among older people and individuals with preexisting respiratory conditions or other issues. Undoubtedly, this is one of the biggest crises we’ve faced in the history of humanity, almost comparable to other historical diseases.
The virus has a composition that makes it stay stable on top of surfaces for a lot of hours depending on the surface. It can last up to three days on top of plastic and stainless steel, which makes it easier for people to come into contact with it, endangering them and everyone else around them. Still, there’s a simple yet effective solution to this issue.
How to avoid COVID-19?
We know there’s only so much cleaning, organizing and tv watching to be done before one runs out of things to do, but the best way to avoid transmission of COVID-19 is to stay home.
If you need to leave the house, then don’t underestimate the simple activity of washing your hands. This has proven to be the best method to diminish the possibility of getting the virus. Why? Because we use our hands for everything whenever we go out, touching surfaces that may have the virus in them. Then, the most common thing that would happen is that we touch our face, getting the virus closer to our nose or mouth, the entrances that it will use to hijack our system. If you wash your hands with plain soap and water, you will reduce immensely the risk of getting sick.
Here’s how to do it:
- Get your hands wet with water and grab the soap.
- Pass the soap throughout each space of your hand.
- Make sure to clean in between your fingers, the back of your hands, and any part of it that touched any surface. Do this for about 20 seconds.
- Remove the soap and dry your hands.
You can also use gloves to further reduce the chances along with a mask.
