Sometimes you just need printable games to waste some time, especially during lockdown! This is the post for you!

Memory Matching Games

Our first post has two printable memory matching games. Print these out at home (make sure the paper is thick enough to hide the image from the other side). Turn them over and shuffle them to play the classic memory matching game. You can compete with another player by timing yourself to see how quickly you can go! We’ve given you two sets of 12 cards each, but you can also combine them for more of a challenge!

Checkers

Checkers is a game most people already know how to play (if you don’t, no problem! Here are the rules) For this printable board, all you need are 12 markers of one type, and 12 of another. If you drink soda or beer, you could save bottle caps and use them!

Sudoku

Sudoku is a great puzzle game to keep your mind sharp. It’s been around for a while, but if you’re unclear on the rules, check out this post which explains it all. To play with friends, simply print out two sheets and see who completes the same puzzle faster!

Take-Back-Toe

Take-Back-Toe is a two person game that functions similarly to Mancala: it requires each player to move objects back and forth until one player has three piles of the same number of markers in their row. The exact rules can be found here.

Geography Games

Geography games are a great way to spend time, because they can be fun and also keep your mind in shape! For this game, we suggest printing out multiple copies and playing against a friend to see who can name the most countries (correctly, of course!) We’ve chosen two continents for you, South America and Europe, but you can easily find blank maps of the other continents as well!

Dots-and-Boxes

Dots-and-boxes is an easy game to play, and if you laminate or print out multiple sheets you can play over and over again! If you need a refresher on the rules, check out this post. We also have other dot grids for you to print! These have diagonal and hexagonal grids for you too, in case you want to make the game more challenging.
