Have a double-elimination tournament coming up and need a printable bracket? We’ve got you covered.

Whether you’re organizing your own tournament, playing in the tournament itself, or are an awesomely supportive parent or friend following a team, double elimination tournaments can be a bit complicated to follow along with. The ideal bracket will make keeping track of the tournament field much simpler.

With a proper bracket you can stay on top of the latest games and get a sense of the tournament wins and losses with any one of our printable brackets, which can come in a variety of formats and different layouts.

How does a 5-Team Double-Elimination Bracket work?

Tournament brackets vary in size based on the amount of teams participating, but double elimination tournaments are inherently different in that they have two categories to keep track of: the “winners” bracket and the “losers” bracket.

Each bracket (winners and losers) will run the same way a single elimination tournament would. The main difference is that the losing team from the winners section drops down to the “losers” section, wherein the final match, the prevailing two teams from each section will match up for the championship title.

Take a look at the bracket examples to get a better idea of what we’re talking about. You’ll see how the tournament will progress from the first round to the second round and beyond.

As long as the tournament is double-elimination then our printable, fillable and seeded brackets will work with most all tournament types. There’s not many tournaments that start with just three teams and that are single-elimination, but if you’re looking for that version click here for our 5-team single-elimination bracket.
